Summit Program

The FMM Innovation Summit is a bi-annual event held in San Francisco and Los Angeles, California. Formerly known as Retail Camp, the FMM Innovation Summit brings together well-recognized industry professionals and makes them accessible to conference participants. The hashtag for the event is #FMMIS.

Summit speakers are chosen for the innovative, progressive thinking that they and their companies are bringing to the digital space. Raman Kia, Executive Director of Digital Strategy at Conde Nast Media Group.

Having recently joined Conde Nast, Raman will be working with teams across all divisions to develop dynamic solutions that help drive the company’s digital business. Before joining Conde Nast, Raman was at Starworks Group as Head of Digital Marketing and was responsible for the development and execution of digital marketing strategies and integrated marketing systems.  Prior to joining Starworks Group, Raman was Director of Social Media for Morpheus Media and was responsible for managing all of the agency’s social media accounts.

His responsibilities include end-to-end management of customer acquisition, social media, optimized media, digital PR and influencer relations, content and community management, content distribution systems, reporting and analytics, emerging technologies, and third-party partnerships across US and Europe.

Scott Forshay is a a Luxury and Premium Brand Marketing Consultant and Mobile Strategist, specifically as it relates to the fashion and luxury brands.  Scott is a highly recognized authority on the subject of the emerging mobile channel, and has championed his philosophy of the medium’s transformative capabilities and the empowerment of the shopper through published articles and speaking engagements. Basil Farano CEO, Fresh Concept Lab and creator of Stylmee

Basil Farano is a co-founder, Creative Technologist & Strategist for Fresh Concepts Labs; the creators of Stylmee.  Stylmee is a fun, 3D fashion social commerce platform that provides its members a “shop-ertainment” experience by challenging their fashion-ability.  Members name, design, decorate and curate their very own 3D virtual fashion boutiques with the latest real branded products as part of the gaming experience. Motivated by understanding the challenges that brands were about to face with the change in consumer behavior due to technological advancement, he immersed himself into the mobile, social and the social gaming space.  As a creative technologist he has focused on understanding consumer behavior and utilizing disruptive technologies and creating strategies that can help brands engage with their target and aspirational customers. André Warren, creative brand strategist, Warren Creative

André Warren, founder of Warren Creative, a fashion industry consultancy, which focuses on merchandising, marketing & branding.  André began his career in retail where he served as the menswear buyer for the influential Ron Herman shop on Melrose.  He later developed the menswear category within Fred Segal Santa Monica.  Here he created an eclectic mix of denim, and jean sportswear-influenced lines like AG Adriano Goldshmied, Hudson, Taverniti so, Great China Wall, Lacoste, People’s Revolution, William Rast and James Perse.  Most recently, André worked at Advanstar, the company that owns and operates MAGIC, Project, WWDMAGIC, PLATFORM and Pool.  He co-created the WORKROOM show, and was part of the creative team that developed the consumer-facing social media driven platform at WWDMAGIC, which partnered with Teen Vogue. Ari S. Goldberg, founder of StyleCaster Media Group

Ari Goldberg is responsible for all aspects of StyleCaster’s business operations and development. He is an innovative entrepreneur with multi-faceted expertise in marketing, strategy, pop-culture, consumer behavior, and business development.  Prior to launching StyleCaster in 2008, Goldberg served as Vice President of Strategy and Business Development for LeBron James and LRMR Marketing. During this time he worked closely with some of the world’s best-known brand equities including Nike, Coca-Cola, Wrigley’s and Microsoft. Previous to LRMR, Goldberg was Director of Business Development for Steve Stoute at Translation Consultation + Brand Imaging. Jeremy Reither, founder, R3R

Jeremy Reither is an Internet entrepreneur and consultant, and is the founder of R3R – a San Francisco based marketing technology agency. Prior to R3R, Jeremy co-owned DUI.com, a web startup in the legal lead generation space, which he sold in 2006.

 Mike Kaney, co-founder and executive producer, Rockbridge Productions

Michael’s passion for film began over 10 years ago when he experienced the reaction of the audience for the first time.

His past clients have included Sony, Pepsi, Intel, 3M, Sotheby’s Realty and rock band, Green Day.  Kaney has co-produced many feature films and is currently raising funds for three script options. His favorite part of film is capturing true human emotions to tell compelling stories.

Michael Litt, co-founder and CEO, Vidyard

 Michael Litt is the co-founder and CEO of Vidyard – an online video platform designed to help businesses optimize their video based marketing spend. Prior to Vidyard, Michael was the sole proprietor of a popular blog that focused on the dis-assembly of popular consumer electronics. After identifying the use-case for online video in this blog, he built Redwoods Media, a content production company that opened the doors to technical innovation around marketing in the video space. He graduated from the University of Waterloo with honors in Systems Design Engineering.

Peter Kim, president and CEO HUDSON JEANS

Peter Kim launched the premium denim line, HUDSON, in the summer of 2002, during the first wave of the designer denim boom.  In that time, the brand has experienced tremendous growth on it’s way to becoming a ‘way of life.’ Peter made his entrée into fashion in 1994, when he assumed control of his parent’s once thriving company, ProTrend. Jon Fahrner, CEO and founder of  Bumebox

Jon Fahrner is the founder and CEO of BumeBox.com , a technology that allows businesses to host real-time social web experiences. Prior to starting BumeBox, he has dedicated for than a decade trailblazing new disciplines of consumer internet starting his career as a founding team member at Zappos.com, the world’s largest footwear etailer, acquired by Amazon in 2009. Fahrner most recently spent 2 years as CEO of Moxsie.com, an indie fashion ecommerce company with groundbreaking social media strategies that achieved IR Hot 100 status in 2010. Based in San Francisco, Jennifer Margolin is a creative consultant that specializes trend forecasting, luxury brand merchandising. Margolin has served as a creative director for  WWDMAGIC, FNPLATFORM and Teen Vogue, French Connection, Levi’s and professional women’s organizations. At FMM, Margolin serves as digital partnerships and events director.
