Luxury Redefined: Who Wants Prada when you can have Khirma?
Khirma Eliazov is one of New York cities best-kept secrets when it comes to accessories and handbag designers. Discovered at PROJECT trade show (part of the show’s new accessories initiative) in Las Vegas, we were completely smitten with this brand with the purchase of our Herzog clutch in grey python.
Khirma began her creative career as an accessories assistant at Mademoiselle Magazine and quickly progressed into becoming a fashion stylist working with clients ranging from Saturn, Nikon and the Bravo Network, then moving to freelancing as an accessories and market editor at Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and TeenVogue.
Next, she took on new challenges and began to develop other creative outlets as a brand and marketing consultant, guiding companies on how to build brand loyalty through strategic creative and marketing platforms, gaining a deeper understanding of consumer needs and loyalty. This experience solidified the importance of building a brand in a particular manner that ensures sustainable growth and longevity through differentiation.
Khirma says that her consistent exposure to the “best in class” accessories, specifically handbags, taught her to value superior design, product quality and functionality. “I wanted to create a beautiful statement piece of the highest quality that was also functional–something people would pick up and wouldn’t be able to put down, even if they couldn’t pronounce the name.”
Her Spring/Summer 2012 collection is composed of handbags that are truly statement pieces. The line uses a combination of luxurious and sometimes unusual exotic skins, including python and chagrin (stingray) together with the finest Italian leather.
Her signature purple linings, originally designed hardware and emphasis on classic structure and silhouettes provide for a timeless handbag that is likely to convert Khirma Eliazov products from the “It Handbag” to “The Handbag” to have. Ladies, once
you have one, we promise you, you’ll abandon your desire for a Chanel No. 255, Balenciaga, Prada or Celine bag. Khirma is the new definition of luxury when it comes to handbags.
With the firm belief that women choose accessories that reflect their style and lifestyle, all while serving as the perfect finale for any look, Khirma Eliazov’s collection of handbags are the perfect statement piece for the sophisticated and stylish woman who appreciates distinctive, yet classic design and enduring quality that is synonymous with luxury.
Retail: Khirma Eliazov handbags retail from $240 to $1500 online.
