FNO Campaign: Go Inside DKNY PR Girl’s World For Fashion’s Night Out
For 2011, Donna Karan takes the cake for the most innovative, interactive and original campaign for Fashion’s Night Out.
First, DKNY has partnered with mobile fashion app POSE (we did this at MAGIC) to create an international mobile photo events that integrated into Tumblr, Facebook and Twitter for shoppers everywhere.
The DKNY store at 655 Madison Avenue serves as the exclusive launch event of the Bill Cunningham New York film DVD. In the spirit of street style, DKNY has partnered with mobile style app POSE, which will post photos that street style photographers snap of guests using the mobile app. Each photo hashtagged #DKNYFNO will automatically be sent to Facebook.
Images snapped by DKNY photographers will also be projected into a DKNY TIMES style section vinyl on the store windows, so participants will literally see their faces projected in the 2nd floor store window. Guests are encouraged to downlaod the free style app in advance so they can easily snap photos of great style at the event, also using the #DKNYFNO hashtag. Internationally, any person using the POSE mobile app during Fashion’s Night Out can use the hashtag #DKNYFNO and their POSES will automatically feed into Facebook as well.

Second, DKNY is taking you inside DKNY’s PR Girl’s New York life. For DKNY’s FNO event in London, DKNY PR GIRL is virtually hosting London events via a live twitter feed that will project into a giant Blackberry so she can interact with people in the London store from New York. DKNY built an in-store set inspired by DKNY PR Girl’s apartment, her bedroom and her closet. Shoppers can take a look inside at DKNY PR Girl’s world and benefit from her perks via promotions she will be tweeting throughout the evening. Follow DKNY’s Fashion’s Night Out adventures on Tumblr, Facebook and Twitter.
