Interview With Micol Zanzuri: Feed Your Style & Find Your Grace
One of our favorite hobbies at FMM is discovering new blogs – especially the ones that focus around fashion, beauty and lifestyle. We’ve totally fallen in love with the DIY fashion scene. So, you can imagine how excited we were to find Micol Zanzuri’s blog, Feed Your Style.
On top of a gorgeous blog brimming with style inspiration and beautiful photography, Zanzuri also offers sensational DIY fashion tutorials on YouTube. With an intoxicating personality and off the charts talent, Zanzuri is an emerging blogging businesswoman to watch.
We’re pleased to share our interview with Micol Zanzuri of Feed Your Style with you. You can really get a sense of her passion, which we love!
FMM: We love your fashionable blog and creative tutorial videos. Can you tell us a little about yourself?
MZ: My name is Micol. I have Libian roots, an Italian passport and a worldwide post code! The area where I live? Well, I don’t know if I have one… maybe the airport? I finished studying fashion design in Milan two years ago and never stopped traveling since then.
I decided to open a company, www.styligion.com, which helps young brands to get noticed in this impenetrable world. Seriously, shouldn’t everyone have a chance? It was too crazy for me to see huge talents not finding the way to pass the line and I felt like I HAD to do something!
FMM: Why did you start your blog?
MZ: I’m a huge fan of normal people; I adore seeing how everyone can restyle and recreate looks in different ways. Every time I want to get inspired, I just grab a coffee and walk around. It’s better than going to fashion shows! But many times we don’t have the time, or maybe the look that we are hunting for is hard to find… And here comes the blogging world–normal people, real style, loads of ideas all inside a click–FANTASTIC!
I think I started www.feedyourstyle.com just because I felt like a little spy; I kept looking at many blogs and they could never get back to me. One day I decided it was time to get myself out there. The bad part? I’m addicted to it! I ADORE reading the thoughts of my followers; trying to transform some complicated dresses into easy DIY and see how they remake them; discovering that I’m not only getting from the web, but even giving something back.
FMM: What are your five favorite websites to read?
MZ: littlesnobthing.blogspot.com – She’s the Carry Bradshaw of the blogosphere for me. Love her way of speaking, her romanticism, her thoughts.
www.bleachblack.com – Full of links, the best cool hunting blog ever.
www.theglamourai.com – She’s the mix and match master! She can wear any shape, any color, trillions of layers and still look classy and unique.
apartment34.blogspot.com – My favorite interior design blog. I discovered it lately; I’m trying to redesign my place!
stylebykling.nowmanifest.com - NO clue why I like her so much, but I never lost one of her posts!
FMM: What are your five favorite apparel/accessories items?
MZ: Shoes Shoes Shoes Shoes and Shoes!!! Do we really need anything more? Yes, I have more shoes than t-shirts!
FMM: What are three tips you can offer to other fashion bloggers?
MZ: Be always open to critics, they are the best way to see your weaknesses and improve them; keep your feet on the ground, don’t present yourself as a bossy teacher, but a friend ; and don’t forget to have fun! You have to enjoy blogging!!!
