City Maps Creates Interactive Consumer Shopping Guides
Fashionistas rejoice! Have you been looking for a service better than Google Maps to find local shopping haute spots like DKNY, Bergdorfs, Saks 5th Avenue or event a local boutique you don’t know you love yet?
Well, a new little start-up has the answer for you!
City Maps is an an interactive map for cities that allows consumers to discover anything and everything about local businesses.
City Maps let’s you use filters to find exactly what you’re looking for. You can zoom into a specific area, click on a store’s logo and get all the details on that particular location. You can read reviews of the store (restaurant or other establishments as well), view nearby tweets, get individual or group daily deals and find the nearest transportation routes to that store your researching.
Perhaps the coolest thing: Once you register an account, you can select your favorite retailers, create a personalized map, and view a feed of real-time content from your favorite selected retailers. Technology that cuts through the clutter of thousands of deal sites and geolocation apps and allows me to tailor my shopping experiences by city and neighborhood. Ummm, I’m sold!
