Become A Mogulite Touting ‘Insidery’ News

Who hasn’t dreamed of becoming a mogul of some sort?  Fashion, media, real estate — take your pick!  Abrams Media Network, which publishes Styleite and a few other sites you may be familiar with, recently launched Mogulite — and we’re hooked.

Mogulite

About Mogulite

“Mogulite is your guide through the fraught world of corporate gurus, enterprising celebrities and up-and-coming titans alike. We’re committed to the idea that what the ultra-wealthy and powerful do matters — and we’re ready to celebrate those helping to change things for the better. Through Mogulite you’ll also have access to our exclusive, hand-crafted Power Grid, which ranks the most powerful and influential CEOs, executives and entrepreneurs.”

Besides interesting content — and by interesting, we mean both informative and snarky — we are smitten with Mogulite’s “Power Grid” feature, which ranks the top 500-ish moguls.  You can even track “who is up and who is down,” the mogul’s version of fashion’s “what’s in and what’s out.”  If you’re looking to climb your way up to the top of the Power Grid, you might check out the link that takes you over to Mediaite Jobs.

Does Mogulite Have Staying Power?

In an interview with TechCrunch, founder Dan Abrams says, “The challenge is making the content compelling enough for consumers while also making it ‘insidery’ enough so that the people we write about will care what the editors think. Of course, good traffic would force them to care as has been the case with Mediaite, but at least for the first six months or so, we just need to focus on breaking news and reporting on compelling stories about compelling people.”

We hope so, because the word ‘insidery’ is suddenly our favorite word.  And, yeah, the content satiates our appetite for fortune and fame — for the moment, anyway.
