HOW-TO: Achieve Consistent Brand Translation Across Multiple Social Networks

Submitted by on 05/26/2011 – 6:15 AMNo Comment | 1,773 views

Hobo International relaunched its website with a whimsical, new design.  It makes us just want to jump in there and live — and buy a new handbag or two.  The fact that the website is seamlessly designed with the brand’s Facebook page and Twitter page @HoboIntl appeals to the web design snob that dwells within.  The new Hobo International design has a nice Anthropologie-meets-Free People-meets-XCVI appeal to it.

More On Why We Love It

The beauty is a bit deeper than a basic web redesign.  Hobo has successfully translated its brand identity across multiple social networks. If you’re a retailer or brand that still hasn’t jumped on the social train, Hobo provides you the perfect jump off point.

What’s more, Hobo International’s website has social share buttons and a wish list feature.  The products are displayed nicely with a powerful zoom function. The handbag label also launched a simple email acquisition program that has no barriers for entrants.  The entire approach is simple, integrated (even the Facebook fan page has a call to action, which is a bare minimum that any brand should have these days) and chic.
