Denizen’s Bollywood Influence

The famous 28-year-old Bollywood actor, Imran Khan, might just have a calling as a fashion designer.  Khan is planning to launch his own clothing line that is closely linked to Levi Strauss’s newly launched brand, Denizen.  While you can see the actor this summer on the big screen in his next film, Delhi Belly, you can also look forward to his clothing brand to be launched sometime in 2012.

Khan says, “I am very particular about my association with any brand. The new line has my personal touch. It’s me in every way and is casual and comfortable.  The cuts, styles, colors are all my choice. The new line reflects my own personal style.”

Denizen is excited to work with the ‘Break Ke Baad’ star and says that the partnership is going to be dramatic, but exciting.  The brand knows that this collaboration will be successful because the brand itself is new and fresh, and partnering with someone like Khan can help them target a younger audience.

Khan stated that if he had to offer a few fashion tips, they would be: “Wear light clothes, choose light jeans over heavier ones. Linen shirts are a must in the closet in summers. And no boots please, just stick to chappals.”
