BAG SNOB x DKNY Handbag Collection Launches; Facebook Fans First To Pre-Reserve

Being a Facebook fan of certain brands has its perks — especially when a brand is as socially savvy as DKNY. Today, DKNY announced the launch of BAG SNOB X DKNY, a collection created by Twitter personalities @bagsnob and @dkny.

The Backstory

It all started with a tweet back in 2009.  DKNY PR GIRL noticed a less-than-complimentary post by Bag Snob and was faced with a dilemma: To respond or not to respond?

DKNY PR GIRL decided to ask, “Haven’t you ever taken a picture of yourself that just doesn’t do you justice?”

From there, a friendship grew and DKNY PR GIRL learned that Bag Snob had actually been a long-time fan of Donna Karan and her collections.

Fast-forward to 2011 where this mutual respect has turned into a stylish collaboration: The Bag Snob x DKNY Limited Edition Collection debuting for Resort 2011.

Being the social media mavens that these ladies are, they are fully aware of what their readers and customers want.  Being young, fashionable women themselves, the Bagsnob and DKNY ladies were happy to collaborate and take on the challenge of creating a chic line of handbags for fashionistas.

The collection is based on Bag Snob’s handbag formula to live by called THE FIVE ESSENTIALS.  These are the handbags every woman needs to complete her bag wardrobe: The Tote, The Travel, The Treasure, The Trendy and The Clutch.  All bags are designed with Snob-approved details, such as pale-gold metal feet, branded Bag Snob x DKNY raspberry jacquard nylon lining, removable shiny pale gold hangtags, and outside pockets for speedy access.
