Vente Privée Launches E-Commerce Services For Luxury Brands
Vente Privée, the largest private sales site in the world, has launched Digital Commerce Factory, a venture that will take over the e-commerce process for small to large-sized luxury brands. According to Business Insider, Vente Privée makes over a billion dollars in profits annually, and hopes to reach 15 billion dollars with the help of Digital Commerce Factory.
Could a full service luxury e-commerce fulfillment service work for luxury brands and retailers? Yes. Before it was acquired by Amazon, e-tailer Zappos provided similar services for a variety of footwear brands it carried, including Clarks and Stuart Weitzman.
For smaller luxury brands that produce limited quantities or don’t have the internal infrastructure to run the day-to-day nuances of an e-commerce site, Vente Privée could be creating a much needed way for these brands to get online and build their customer base and product distribution channels.
Specifics about the new Vente Privée venture are not available at this time, but we think it is a smart move by the private sales pioneer. Billionaire founder Jacques-Antoine Granjon seems to possess a superior handle on the fashion and business worlds, not to mention the innovative spirit necessary for risk taking and growth.
Vente Privée has been around since 2001, before our other favorite flash sale sites like Gilt and Hautelook. We have a feeling that Vente Privée is about to raise the bar for similar e-commerce sites. With an excellent relationship with luxury labels, we’re anxious to see what Vente Privée accomplishes through Digital Commerce Factory — and how it will translate to other brands.
