Cynthia Rowley Sews The Seeds Of Art
From Band-Aids to baby diapers, Cynthia Rowley is a name we’ve seen a lot of lately. WWD reports that the brand is diversifying itself further with its Pretty Penny Fund, which seeds money to organizations that Rowley and her team feel are deserving.
Pretty Penny’s first beneficiary is Exhibit A, which Rowley recently spoke to Racked about. Created by Rowley’s business manager, Laura Martin, the flash sale website sells exclusive editions of artwork by top contemporary artists.
“It’s something I’ve been thinking about,” Martin recalls. “I was frustrated as somebody who wanted to be a young collector, but knew I couldn’t afford an original piece by these established artists.” — Source: WWD
