ahr.es.ihm Works With Charity Fashion Show & Discarded To Divine

For many years, ahr.es.ihm has worked with charitable organizations, but 2011 will be the first year that it works with the Charity Fashion Show and Discarded to Divine.  Both organizations were created to bridge the cutting-edge and trendsetting, fashion industry with the powerful impact of non-profit organizations.

“As a brand that puts a woman’s grace and elegance first, I wanted to create a desirable, fun, and wearable collection that offers something for a variety of tastes,” the designer (R. Shay Miles), who began her eponymous acronym label in 2009, told SF Indie Fashion.

Inspired by those who clearly need assistance, ahr.es.ihm, will exclusively launch its Fall/Holiday 2011 Collection at the Charity Fashion Show on April 2nd, 2011 at the Fort Mason Center in San Francisco.  The collection offers ahr.es.ihm’s signature asymmetrical designs with an edgy attitude. The collection will be sold primarily at True Essence Boutique in Piedmont, CA beginning September 10.

On April 28th, 2011 at The Hall at St. Mary’s Cathedral in San Francisco, ahr.es.ihm will also unveil and auction an eco-friendly holiday evening gown created out of a shower curtain and gold drapes that Miles found in the discard bin at St. Vincent de Paul Society.

ahr.es.ihm reminds us that opportunities to create and help others are all around us.  Fashion and philanthropy are beautiful when paired together, and we applaud this indie label for its efforts.
