WWDMAGIC VIDEO: Monsieur Christian Lacroix For Desigual

This is the stuff that fashion fantasies are made of. Who would have thought of pairing Desigual and renowned French fashion designer, Monsieur Christian Lacroix? We certainly hadn’t.

The Desigual + Monsieur Lacroix collaboration may be a fashionable case of “opposites attract.” Desigual’s urban, casual designs that typically boast an eclectic mix of florals and other patterns work with Monsieur Lacroix’s high end style, which is rich in the designer’s background in historical costume.

The result is a genius mix of colors and patterns that is actually wearable.  A masterful combination of elegant costumery, modern edge and fair isle fashion, we are wanting to see more of this couture Autumn/Winter 2011-2012 collection and the rumored “more intense” Summer 2012 collection.

During the WWDMagic show, Jennifer Margolin, stylist for Teen Vogue and WWDMagic interviewed Manel Jadraque, COO of Desigual on the collection’s meaning to the brand. The “Dream Collection” is modeled by up and coming blogger, Colby Jordan of MinnieMuse. Monsieur Lacroix will design four more collections for Desigual in the future.
