Google Chrome users, a new, more social media savvy social bar has arrived.  The BuzzGrowl Chrome extension displays tweets and Facebook posts about the website you’re visiting in real time.

BuzzGrowl allows you to gather information about the website you’re visiting by watching the social media activity, or easily join the conversation via the share buttons.  You can also turn the extension off by clicking on the orange logo in the browser menu bar — in case you need a little quiet browsing time.

BuzzGrowl is available for free at the Chrome web store.  Bloggers and web publishers can try the beta version of BuzzGrowl for Publishers by emailing bizdev@thingbuzz.com.
