Tom Ford: Fat Women Look Better Naked

Source: www.thefashionspot.com

Tom Ford has been on a roll lately with his, err, very interesting comments on topics ranging from kissing photographer Terry Richardson to his opinions on male nudity & double standards in fashion.

And now, it’s Ford’s recent fashion recommendation for the heavyset that is making gossip waggers go abuzz :

“I spend most of my time at home naked. You know, most people actually look better nude. We are all one harmonious colour, with a symmetry and an innate elegance. Fat women almost always look better without the constraint and lumpy pinching of clothes, all the straps and elastic squeezing and sucking.”

This comment is a little confusing coming from a fashion designer, but…we get the gist of what you’re saying, Tom.  It can be quite difficult for anyone who’s not a pencil to find adequate and beautiful clothing that flatters the body, not pinching it into unnatural shapes.

Let’s hope Tom Ford’s mouth and the buzz around his comments get him to remedy the situation and design better-tailored plus size clothing.
