Project Artisan’s Handcrafted Luxury Designs
Project Artisan combines high fashion and social consciousness with e-commerce to bring fashion lovers creative and ethically made bags, clothing, jewelry and more. Items are handmade and carefully crafted – bringing back an ethos of artistry, creativity and craftsmanship to the fashion industry.
In short, Project Artisan wants to share, sell and promote what they call ‘ethical luxury’ to the entire world.
Project Artisan aims to support emerging designers and act as a place where designers can gain global recognition for their detail oriented and careful know-how. The designs are never factory made but are created one by one and by hand.
Additionally, Project Artisan profiles each of their designers with videos and biographies so that you know exactly where your clothing & jewelry comes from and who thought them up. The creators and designers run the gamut from The Krochet Kids –an organization that brings together Ugandan women in need to innovate crochet hats & laptop cases – to Many Will See‘s Amanda Urrego, an LA and Nashville based jewelry designer whose work has been seen in national magazines (People, Bust) and television shows.
We’re especially, especially liking this beautiful green cape by Alabama Chabin and this colorful headpiece by Gracylu Originals and think they might make excellent, and ethical, gifts for the holiday season.

Handcrafted clothing and items are usually far more beautiful, and its great that many developing countries are being promoted for these by organizations like Fair Trade.
