Converse Explores Mobile Augmented Reality

Submitted by on 12/13/2010 – 5:53 PMNo Comment | 1,138 views

Just after The Next Web covered What’s Next In Augmented Reality, Converse has released an iPhone app that lets users try any Converse shoe from their collection simply by pointing an iPhone at their feet and shooting.

The app uses augmented reality to place a virtual shoe over your foot, so that you can get an idea of how the shoes will look. Once you find a pair you like, then simply click through to the store where you can purchase the shoes directly from your phone.

The app is free to download here
