Anthropologie To Open Its First Accessories-Only Store

Anthropologie Accessories Store
We’re a bit envious of the ladies in Chevy Chase, MD. WWD reports that the town will welcome the first accessories-only Anthropologie store on October 29.  Like most fashion forward girls, we at FashionblyMarketing.Me adore Anthropologie accessories (thank you to The Cut for noticing) and would love to check out this new retail concept store!

The 1,400-square-foot accessories store at 5402 Wisconsin Avenue will house an array of shoes, handbags, scarves, belts, costume jewelry, fine jewelry, estate and antique jewelry, one of a kind pieces and reworked vintage items.

Despite the accessories-focused collection, shoppers will recognize the familiar Anthropologie store aesthetic.  The gallery-esque space will feature shoes (which account for 50 percent of the product) by designers Rachel Comey, Chie Mihara and Bourne, and others.  Some of the accessories have been designed by Marion Vidal, Eugenia Kim, Ikou Tschuss and Leslie Oschmann.

Wurtzburger, co-president and chief merchandising officer of Anthropologie, says there is one piece of unfinished business. “It doesn’t have a name yet.  It will say Anthropologie on the door. The display and branding will make it feel like Anthropologie, but a unique Anthropologie.”  Maybe one of our fashionista friends in Maryland will let us know what they decide on.
