Yves St. Laurent Partners with Polyvore for Fashion’s Night Out
During Fashion’s Night Out in New York, Yves Saint Laurent will partner with Polyvore to launch YSL’s latest Edition 24 Collection. Fashion’s Night Out will mark the start of a YSL sponsored Polyvore “Community Challenge”, a contest that will encourage Polyvore members to employ virtual styling to explore the art of travel using the Edition 24 Collection.
Edition 24 is conceived as a style passport — a collection designed to meet the needs of the woman on the go, combining accessibility and utility with elegance and femininity. The assortment includes lightweight draped jersey dresses; Saharienne-inspired jackets and jumpsuits; felted wool skirts and coats; colorful cropped down vests; evening gowns in silk jersey; and accessories that pull together and finish the look. The pieces are meant to be layered, mixed and put to versatile use from the airplane to the boardroom, from day to evening. This mix-and- match sensibility makes a perfect fit for the Polyvore community.
The Yves Saint Laurent/Polyvore Edition 24 – Art of Travel challenge begins September 10, 2010 on Fashion’s Night Out. The challenge will continue for eight days and is open to Polyvore members as well as the public. The creator of the winning set, chosen by Yves Saint Laurent, will be awarded YSL’s new fall bag, the Multy.
