This is an exciting week at FMM, we’re headed to the bay for Retail Camp San Francisco. In our first ever event in the city where we often leave our hearts, we are going to be talking about fashion, social commerce and the future of mobile publishing. Join us at Sandbox Suites (SoMa area) Thursday, September 30th, 2010. Register for RCSF.

Panelists:

  • Presentation: Jennifer Margolin, Professional Wardrobe Stylist, JenniferMargolin.com
  • Shari Gunn, Chief Marketing Office, Kaboodle.com
  • Jon Farher, Chief Operating Officer, Moxsie.com
  • Ruth Staiman, Chief Information Officer, Pixel-Mags.com
  • Staci Riordan, Fashion Law Practice Lead, Fox Rothschild

In an interactive discussion, panelists will discuss:

  • What is one thing that brands or retailers need to know about social commerce?
  • What is the role of social media in commerce and does it really present a new opportunity?
  • What are some social commerce strategies for acquiring new customers?
  • What are the latest social commerce tools being developed by e-tailers to increase marketing effectiveness and enhance customer experiences (e.g., Facebook apps, group buying initiatives, social shopping communities)
  • How should brands and retailers marry “social” with other methods of online distribution for customer acquisition and retention?
  • What are the legal implications of social commerce or social media that brands and retailers should be focusing on? What are three things that they should venture into social waters without knowing?
  • What does all this mean for the future of retail marketing and is this a sustainable strategy.
  • What is mobile commerce’s impact on all of this? How can retailers/brand integrate mobile commerce into their social marketing plan.
