It looks like Google is moving forward in its plans to have a larger stake in retail and fashion properties with the acquisition of Like.com. Like.com, the visual search and shopping platform that owns Coutorious.com, Covet.com and Weardrobe.com, announced the acquisition on its homepage in a note written by CEO Munjal Shah. Shah said that joining Google is “a way to supersize our vision and supercharge our passion.” ?The purchased price is undisclosed.
It looks as if Google sees Bing’s impressive visual search platform as possible competition, could we soon see Google ads served across Like and it’s properties?
Looks like the fashion bloggers feedback is starting to influence Google acquisitions. Remember this article from Fashionista.com?

Interesting news. I don't know if I like Google's hand in this cookie jar, though. Time will tell. I just hope it doesn't mean death for indie style bloggers.
I agree with you!
