Express Launches Mobile Geolocation App

Express AppMany forward thinking retailers have come to realize that geolocation is big, and brands like Jimmy Choo and Cynthia Rowley have used geolocation services like Foursquare to launch marketing campaigns.

Well, retail and geolocation have come together yet again. Express has decided to eschew working with popular geolocation apps like Foursquare and Gowalla and is taking geolocation into its own hands by launching its own app — available for iPhone, iPod Touch, and Android.

The app features what’s known as Express Proximity Perks. Whenever the app user gets close to a nearby Express, the user gets Perks like promotions and recent news.

Users can find out about various products and the latest Express clothing, and it’s pretty useful for those who are planning to make an store trip.

Users can also create wish lists, find the nearest stores, and share their favorites on sites like Facebook.  Additionally, users can also watch videos and listen to music on the app.

Download the app for your iPhone, iPod Touch, or Android.
