Curating Content With LOUD3R
In an environment where much of what we blog and tweet can be traced back to powerful media sources, it’s important to keep up & make sure that the information we write and talk about is original, well curated, and readily available to new readers.
Content curation service LOUD3R — which includes a network of sites like GLITT3r, NEW3R, and GRIND3R — has just come out with their curation platform. The platform allows editors to fine tune and monitor their content streams. It’s a way of exposing your content to larger audiences, audiences who are hungry for quality, timely digital content.
LOUD3R, which received a $4 million investment from the New York Daily News in January, is aiming its Curation Platform to professional publishers and social media leaders. The platform is available at a monthly fee, based on the number of topic areas you’re involved with. Loud3r current clients include FOX, the New York Daily News, and tmg.
The Curation Platform allows users to monitor the content streams coming from all sorts of media — blogs, videos, tweets, and so on.
The platform helps to figure out what you’re doing right; It will tell you which stories, photos, and so on are doing well and which ones are not, and it points out the leaders on Twitter & provides social media analytics. You can also add original content to your streams so that you’re not simply aggregating but really curating the best of what you have to offer.
