Amplify: Conversations Without Restrictions

Submitted by on 08/19/2010 – 5:18 AMNo Comment | 618 views

If you love the way Twitter sparks conversations but don’t feel like 140 characters is enough for you, then check out Amplify.

Amplify gives you the chance to share links and articles with your friends, share personal insights and more without a specified length.  That means nothing is too short or too long.

Amplify

You can write a blog post, microblog post or simply share a photo.  You can also share what you post on social sites like Twitter, Facebook, Posterous, Tumblr, WordPress and Friendfeed.

According to CEO Eric Goldstein, Amplify is intended to spark meaningful and engaged conversation:

“So while Amplify may share certain features in common with Twitter, Friendfeed, Buzz, Facebook and Posterous, I believe very strongly that it offers a unique and much needed opportunity to learn from others and engage in meaningful conversation that is otherwise lacking on the web.”

We especially like how Amplify doesn’t just post links of articles, photos and blog posts; you clip the actual article, blog post or whatnot, and it shows up as an image on your page.  That means your favorite ideas and articles don’t get lost in a tangle of links on the web.

If you’re a designer, stylist or entrepreneur, Amplify might just help you put your ideas and favorite images all in one place.
