Stardoll Positions Itself To Better Meet Community Needs

Styledoll.comStardoll, the world’s largest entertainment and fashion social gaming site for teenagers, has redesigned its website in attempt to better integrate fashion with social media.

Stardoll focuses of virtual paperdolls, which it has made into a highly social and community centered activity.  Available to users in English, Spanish, Polish and Chinese.

The redesign addresses the demands of their maturing community;’  Stardoll’s average user is now 15 years old (compared to 13 years old in 2009) and registered users have increased to 68.7 million (compared to 35 million in 2009).

CEO Mattias Miksche stated:

“We see our members spending more and more time on Stardoll and ‘growing up’ with the platform…The redesign is a reflection of this, as we continue to develop a more mature and aspirational brand, that still allows the community to operate in a safe and private environment.”

Its new initiatives include more centralized Member Suites, community features that encourage socialization among users and more dress-up games that might help users earn more Stardollars (Stardoll’s currency).
