The Men of Burberry: Hip, Live and Acoustic
On June 19, 2010, Burberry live streamed its Prorsum Spring Summer 2011 runway show from Milan. In doing so, the luxury brand continues to establish itself as a leader through its use of rich media content.
For the S/S 2011 show, Burberry worked with young, emerging musicians to enhance the brand experience by incorporating music in its runway show. All the artists who participated were selected by designer Christopher Bailey and filmed exclusively for Burberry in the UK.
“We have collaborated on so many projects with new and young emerging British bands over the years,” says Christopher Bailey. “We felt that with the great interaction that we have experienced with our social media website that we could collaborate with musicians and artists to put together an incredible group of ongoing acoustic sessions from some of the finest talent coming out of the UK and bring them to the broad global Burberry audience”
Live comments and image sharing were enabled through Twitter and Facebook on live.Burberry.com. After the show, an on demand version of the live stream was made available to viewers. Items shown on the runway are available for preorder via Burberry.com until June 27, 2010.
We love how Burberry continues to create unique brand experiences with their digital marketing.
