What’s Your Life’s Scoop?

Submitted by Stephanie Kwak on 06/28/2010 – 7:39 amComments

Sometimes technology just isn’t easy to understand.  It’s portrayed hard, tough, mechanical and emotionless, and sometimes, down right overwhelming.

However, technology is not just for geeks who love to build computers and code.  The Internet, for instance, is an incredibly social environment that can help you build and grow stronger bonds with your communities.  Morevoer, there’s a whole world out there where technology can be incorporated into daily life, making life just a little bit easier to manage.

My Life Scoop, an Intel sponsored website, focuses on bringing useful technology into your life — giving easy to understand advice about how to use technology, recommending interesting blogs for you to read and letting you interact with My Life Scoop through the website itself or social networking tools like Twitter and Facebook.

Intel's My Life Scoop

My Life Scoop is part of Intel’s campaign to market itself as more connected to everyday people, having also started Vote for a Cause on Facebook.

David Veneski, Digital Campaign Manager of Intel, explains on his blog that Intel hopes to make technology more accessible to people through websites like My Life Scoop and states that the Internet’s increasingly social nature makes Intel’s new ventures important.  He writes:

“We want you to live a better life through technology, and we needed to make sure that people understood what the Intel brand means and how we help with that.”

My Life Scoop is similar in vein to American Express’s Open Forum, which is the financial service’s attempt to provide a knowledge base of business articles for small business owners; making AMEX seem friendly and receptive to new ideas.
