Highlights: Los Angeles Fashion Week

E! Ashlan Gorse Gen Art LA Fashion Gen Art hosted its’ Los Angeles Fashion Alumni Celebration at the Roosevelt Hotel, hosted by Amber Rose, this week to begin the festivities surrounding L.A. Fashion Week.

“It was a pleasure to be part of the Gen Art Fashion Alumni celebration with such amazing designers. It is exciting that Gen Art continues to discover talent who influence the world of fashion,” said Amber Rose.

Many notables, including fashion designer Jazmin Whitley, Law & Order’s Anthony Anderson, E! News personality Ashlan Gorse, Project Runway contestants Althea Harper and Mila Hermanovski – attended the event.

The event was a celebration of the Los Angeles fashion community as a whole while specifically acknowledging the contributions of the designers who have been featured through the Gen Art design platform.

Gen Art, dedicated to promoting and supporting the best emerging talent, has teamed up with 20 of their designer alumni to each present a signature look from their collections at the event.

Participating designers included Brigid Catiis, Eduardo Lucero, Elmer Ave, Endovanera, Erik Hart, Freddie Rojas, Geren Ford, Wren, Grey Ant, Jared Gold, Jeffrey Sebelia, Katy Rodriguez, Kit Scarbo, Louis Verdad, Orthodox, Rami Kashou and Society for Rational Dress.

The LAFW weekend continues with the shows at BOXeight Studios, the launch of Molly Crabapple’s new collection for Dirtee Hollywood at Fred Segal, SewDown and Designers and Agents.
