Barbie + Mad Men…the Cocktails Must Stay Behind

Mad Men Joan Holloway Barbie Doll

First, Loubutin and now Mad Men. Mattel announced that new ‘Mad Men’ show Barbies are being released as part of their Fashion Model Barbie Collection. The characters to become dolls are Don Draper, Betty Draper, Roger Sterling and Joan Holloway.

The dolls come with period accessories like hats, overcoats, pearls and padded undergarments, but no cigarettes, ashtrays, martini glasses or cocktail shakers. Joan even comes with her infamous pen necklace.

There will be 7,000 to 10,000 copies of each doll, to be sold in specialty stores and on two Web sites, amctv.com and barbiecollector.com. via @NyTimes
