WWD Magic Tradeshow: Designer Highlights

Submitted by on 02/17/2010 – 8:31 PMNo Comment | 1,013 views

While I’m sorry I’ve missed some of the amazing events at New York Fashion Week, I must say that the Magic show has been amazing. We’re in the process of sorting through the designers, business insights and interviews we conducted with brands, show producers and retail industry professionals we had grabbed. To kick off our Magic Round Up, we grabbed interviews with two designers that left us jonesing for their product lines.

Buckaroo Jeans

Buckaroo Jeans is a premium denim line from Korea making its U.S. debut. Sale Rep Lauren explains the design philosophy anddenim style is based on retro modernism. The brand prides itself in constant evolution of their “modern vintage” aesthetic, introducing new 150 styles every season. The pants are comfortable, functional and tactile. Guys, may we recommend the Tailored Jean or the Snowbuck?

The best thing: Buckaroo opened their first retail store in LA located at 7610 Melrose Ave. Los Angeles, CA, 90046.

Glamour Kills Clothing

During the Magic Show, we stopped by the Pool Tradeshow and met the amazing team behind Glamour Kills Clothing. They told us how their e-commerce business was 60% of their retail revenue and how they used their music industry backgrounds to build their brand’s partnerships with music bands internationally, extreme sports and Nylon Magazine.

The best thing: Their t-shirts! We love Glamour Kills Peace + Harmony Tee for Women and XO Tee for Men.
