For an end of the year recap, I had the honor and of writing an overview for Mashable on how social media has impacted fashion brands in 2009.

The article discusses how user generated content, engaging in communities and style bloggers are starting to reshape the way the industry communicates with consumers.

It also touches on how fashion brands and retailers are getting more inventive; starting to create their own niche communities and sites in order cultivate a better customer relationship and develop newer, younger  audiences.
