Twitter: Redefining Fashion Marketing via Social Media

Social Media and Web 2.0 technologies are having a profound impact on how fashion brands and fashion retailers are marketing to and engaging their customers online. One of the most notable impacts are the dialogues and relationships being created by Twitter.

On June 16th and 17th, 2009, Yuli Ziv (of Style Coalition & My It Things) and I will discussing the impact of Twitter on fashion brands & retailers at the #140Conf in New York.

About the #140Conf

The #140Conf is a two day event that will explore the impact and disruptive nature of  Twitter on fashion, celebrities, UK media, advertising, music, affiliate marketing and more.

    Couldn’t agree more, social media; specifically Twitter like you mentioned is extremely important for reaching new and existing audiences. Looking forward to the results of the #140Conf!

  • Will your discussion be available online for those that cannot attend?

    It is particularly interesting to see how twitter and social media will change the fashion PR landscape. Fashion PR has always been its own exclusive entity and will likely evolve in social media differently than other industries.

    For example, social media strategy is build on openness and transparency while many fashion labels pride themselves on a level of private exclusivity… I wonder how these two points of view will merge…
